BSM&TC, Sundargarh was established in the year 1978 under administrative control of CTR&TI, Ranchi to fulfill Basic Seed demand of Western Orissa. It is situated on the way between Sambalpur & Rourkela. It is just 31 Km from Jharsuguda Rly, Station. This centre has five permanent grainage house, one Training Hall, one Museum hall and a Office building with 180 Hect. of forest land on lease basis. This centre has capacity of brushing 10,000 Dfls with production of 5 lakhs cocoon & 1 lakh dfls per annum. The details of centre is given below.
